Black-capped chickadee

The black-capped chickadee is one of Manitoba’s most cheerful year-round residents, easy to spot by its black cap and bib and its bright “chick-a-dee-dee-dee” call. Curious and fearless, it’s a regular at feeders through the coldest winters and a favourite subject in every season.
