I live along one of the world’s largest bird migration pathways.  Spring heralds new friends returning and winter friends leaving for the north.  It is a joy to welcome each species, watch them grow their families while here, and then say goodbye in the fall.  I’ve yearlong feathered friends that ride out the winter with me.  Some I get to see for fleeting moments as they fly past to rest elsewhere.  Each one brings a smile to my face.
